L-lysine is an essential amino acid that must be obtained through diet or through the consumption of supplements. Lysine is necessary for the production of all proteins in the body and for the maintenance of structural proteins, collagen and elastin, which form all connective tissues such as skin, tendons and bones. L-lysine is also a precursor to L-carnitine, which is needed for fat metabolism and energy production. Additionally, L-lysine may contribute to a healthy immune system and good cardiovascular function.
 
Suggested use
