Avocado oil is one of the few oils that does not come from a seed, but is extracted from the pulp of the avocado fruit. It is known for its ability to penetrate deep and therefore has excellent regenerative properties. Given this, this oil penetrates deeper into the skin than other oils, so it is easier to transport nutrients through the outer epidermis to the skin.
 
Avocado oil protects the skin against all forms of infection because the sugars in avocado produce an antimicrobial layer on the skin. Therefore, it is effective in relieving the dryness and itching associated with skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.
 
It can also help reduce the risk of wrinkles and, therefore, the signs of aging. This is because it contains certain antioxidants that help strengthen the collagen in the top layer of the skin. Avocado oil is also high in sterolins, which are known to help heal skin damage caused by the sun, as well as scarring.
